Coastguard Station And Rescue Equipment Store, Bonnieview, Burghead

The Coastguard Station and Rescue Equipment Store at Bonnieview in Burghead is an earlier 19th century building. It features a southwest-facing, two-storey, three-bay house with a continuous, lower two-storey, two-bay wing at the northwest gable. This wing is linked to a rectangular single-storey Coast Guard store built around 1860 by a short wall. The house and wing are constructed of whitewashed rubble, with contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins.

The house has a central door with a rectangular fanlight and an additional entrance in the southeast gable. The front and rear have regular fenestration, with three windows on the first floor at the rear and smaller lights on the ground floor, all featuring 12-pane glazing. It has broad coped end stacks, a slate roof, and concrete tiles at the rear, while the wing has a piended slate roof.

The Coast Guard Rescue Equipment Store, dating from around 1860, is built of tooled rubble with tooled ashlar dressings, all whitewashed. It has two windows on the long southwest (seaward) elevation and a wide entrance in the southeast gable, which features double-leaf plank doors with a glazed oculus above. The store also has a coped end stack and a slate roof.
