Description
The Lighthousekeepers' Dwellings at Corran Point, built in 1860, is a two-storey, symmetrical house featuring three bays and double gables, with separate living spaces on the ground and first floors. The exterior is finished in white harling, accented by contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins.
The east elevation has central doors, with the first-floor door accessed by a forestair. The rear of the building displays a symmetrical arrangement of three windows on both the ground and first floors, featuring lying-pane glazing and end stacks. The roofs are covered with slate.
There are single-storey lean-to extensions on both the north and south gables. Surrounding the dwelling and lighthouse is a rubble garden wall with roughly dressed coping. The entrance is marked by a pair of square tooled ashlar gatepiers, which have matching pedestrian entrances topped with shallow pyramidal caps, and simple cast-iron gates.
