Description
Sallachan Bridge, built over the River Gour, was likely designed by Thomas Telford around 1804. It features twin arches made of rubble, with roughly dressed rubble arch rings and a parapet. The bridge has rounded cutwaters that have been faced with later concrete. There are long rubble approach causeways leading to the bridge. Each arch spans 9.3 meters, and the overall length of the bridge, including the approaches, is 55 meters.
