Description
The walled garden at Cuilcheanna House likely dates from the early 19th century. It consists of a large enclosure with three sides built of unusually fine dry-stone, constructed from large, split granite blocks laid in regular courses and pinned with narrow slate. The original entrance is located in the west wall, while the fourth wall is of a later date, built with rubble and featuring two modern breaches. Cuilcheanna House itself has been significantly altered and is no longer listed. The garden is notable for the exceptional quality of its drystone walling, which reflects local style and building traditions.
