Description

The ice house in Hopeman dates from the early to mid-19th century and is constructed from tooled rubble. It is built into a slope, with an entrance that features an unusual doorpiece in the Egyptian style. Inside, the structure has a vaulted conical cylindrical interior made of rubble.
