Description
Mulross is a mid-18th century, two-storey pair of mirrored, two-bay houses located on Main Street in Stenton. The buildings are constructed from pink sandstone rubble, featuring large, squared, and coursed blocks on the roadside. Each house has two bays that are closely grouped, with doors situated in the inner bays, a first-floor window above each door, and windows in the outer bays on both floors. The northern gable is blank. A later, slightly taller house has been joined to the southern gable. A former forestair at the rear was removed in 1988. The sash and case windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern, and there is a truncated gable end stack to the north. The roofs are covered with pantiles.
