Description

Probably 17th century with alterations. 2-storey

rectangular plan baker's house and bakery, with earlier

19th century extension at rear. Pink sandstone rubble

with harl pointing; ashlar window surrounds.

NE ELEVATION: 6 irregular bays. 2 blocked doorways at

centre, that to left lower. 2 small square windows flanking

to right, 1 to left. 3 widely spaced small 1st

floor windows under eaves.

SE ELEVATION: windows altered. Gabled extension

projecting at outer right.

Blank gable to wynd at NE; rear extension to left

diminishing in height on rising ground, and with cart

entrance, small window and doorway. SW gable adjoined by

later building.

Small-pane modern glazing pattern. Pantiles. Coped

gable end stacks. Distinctive early East Lothian skew form.
