Description
Craigroy is a late 18th century cottage that was later raised to two storeys and had a forestair added at the rear in the late 19th century. It is currently connected to a single storey cottage. The building is constructed from sandstone rubble.
On the southeast elevation, there are three two-storey bays on the right. The door that was originally part of a central pair is now blocked, as is a first-floor window. The window to the left of the door has been altered to a bipartite design, while there is a single window to the right. The left side features two wider bays belonging to the single storey cottage, which has an enlarged window and a door to the right.
The northwest elevation has a stone forestair at the centre of the two-storey block, along with later concrete additions. A lean-to porch has been added to the right. The northeast gable has a single window facing north, with a steep pitch that is blank. The southwest gable shows the line of a former neighbouring building.
The sash and case windows have a 4-pane glazing pattern, with one window featuring 12 panes. The building has stugged ashlar coped skews, pantiles on the roof, and end stacks on the two-storey gables.
