Description
This building, located at 82 Main Street, is a cottage from the later 18th century, with some alterations and a 19th century addition at the rear. It is a single-storey structure with an attic and features a one-bay design. The cottage has a late 19th century canted piend-roofed dormer in the attic and a ridge stack. The exterior is finished with painted roughcast render and has painted ashlar margins, along with raised margins around the windows and door.
The front door, which is timber-boarded, dates from the late 20th century, while there is a bipartite window to the left and one dormer in the attic. The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass. The brick stack is topped with octagonal yellow clay cans, and the roof is covered with graded grey slate. The building also features cast-iron rainwater goods.
