Description
This building, located at 89 Main Street, is a mid-19th century cottage with a late 19th century piend-roofed extension at the rear. It is a single storey and attic structure with two bays, featuring 19th century canted, piend-roofed dormers in the attic and a ridge stack. The exterior is made of painted coursed, stugged sandstone, with harled sandstone rubble on the sides. The window and door margins are droved.
The front door, which is timber-panelled, dates from the late 20th century, and there are two windows to the left. The attic includes two dormers with slate-hung sides. The windows are timber sash and case with 4-pane glazing. The building has an ashlar-coped skew and a small stack, with a roof covered in graded grey slate. It also features cast-iron rainwater goods with a hopper.
