33 Bladnoch Village, Bladnoch

This building at 33 Bladnoch Village is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay classical house. It features polished ashlar stonework that is channelled to the ground, with raised angle margins and raised cills on the windows. The entrance has a pilastered corniced doorpiece adorned with a triglyph and metope frieze, leading to a recessed double-leaf panelled door topped with a small-pane fanlight. There is also a window located to the right of the left return gable.

At the rear, the house has a tall 16-pane stair window, flanked by windows on the first floor. There is a slate-roofed brick lean-to attached. All windows are sash and case style with a 12-pane glazing pattern. A raised band course runs above the ground level and at the eaves. The roof is piended and platform slate with swept eaves, featuring tall stacks with a corniced base that support twin octagonal stone stacks with octagonal ceramic cans. The flanks and rear of the building are constructed of rubble. The property is enclosed by a low coped ashlar boundary wall that supports cast-iron railings and a gate, with a pair of squat ashlar gatepiers.
