Description

Bladnoch Bridge is an early 19th-century, two-arch stone bridge that spans the River Bladnoch, connecting Wigtown parish and Burgh. It features a central bull-nosed cutwater pier on each side, with flanking depressed arches. The bridge is constructed using dressed granite voussoirs, springers, soffit, and cutwaters, while the spandrels, abutments, and parapet are made of squared rubble. The parapet is topped with granite coping.
