4 Minto Street, Edinburgh

4 Minto Street is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay classical house located in Edinburgh. It features single-storey wings that adjoin the main house, with a later addition of an extra storey to the north. The building is constructed from lightly stugged cream sandstone ashlar and includes a cill course, architraves, and cornices around the first-floor windows, as well as a cornice and blocking course.

The west elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a central recessed round-arched doorway that is pilastered. This doorway contains a panelled door and a plate glass fanlight above it. There are single windows on the first floor above the doorway and in the outer left and right bays, with the ground floor windows set in round-arched panels.

The windows are predominantly four-pane timber sash and case, with an eight-pane window located above the doorway. The roof is a grey slate piended design, complete with coped wallhead stacks.

The interior was not seen in 1995. Additionally, there is a low coursed boundary wall to the street with replacement railings.
