Description
80 High Street in Annan is a corner building dating from around 1840, which underwent alterations in 1985 that included gutting the interior. The building features classical ornamentation and is two storeys high with four-bay elevations. The ground floor is pilastered, and the first floor has architraved sash windows, although one blind window remains with sashes and astragals cut in stone. It is constructed of red ashlar. The main entrance is located in the second bay facing High Street, and there is a continuous entablature above the ground floor. The building has a prominent cornice and a parapet adorned with guilloche ornament. Additionally, there are wallhead stacks with square flues linked by a cornice, and the roof is a combination of piended and platformed, finished with slates and lead.
