Description
25-27 Cassillis Road in Maybole is a building dating from around 1840. It stands two storeys high and features three bays, constructed of painted ashlar. The structure has a plinth and a band course that runs between the ground and first floors, along with full-height outer pilasters. The central entrance is framed by thin pilasters and has a consoled, corniced hood above it, with an additional door located to the left. To the left of the central door is an enlarged window, while a 12-pane sash window is positioned to the right. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane sash windows, each with architraves and bracketed panelled cills. The building is topped with a mutule cornice and a blocking course, and it features two piended, canted dormers. The straight skews and end stacks complement the slate roof.
