Description
3 and 5 Lamington Street in Tain is a building dating from around 1830 to 1840. It is two storeys high and has six bays, constructed from ashlar stone. The doors are located in the outer bays, and the ground floor has been completely altered to accommodate a modern shop front. Above the ground floor, there is a cornice, and the end and center two bays on the first floor are slightly projected. The first-floor windows are architraved and feature 12-pane glazing. There is a panelled parapet above the cornice, which is raised in the center. The northeast angle has a quadrant detail, and the building has end stacks and a slate roof.
