Description

The Balnagown Hotel, located on Queen Street in Tain, is an early 19th-century building featuring two storeys and an attic, with three bays. It is constructed of coursed rubble with rubble flanks and ashlar dressings. The ground floor has four windows, with a central door and two flanking windows that are obscured by a large glazed porch. The building retains three original piended dormers, each with 6-pane glazing, and some 12-pane glazing is still present. It has end stacks and a slate roof.
