27 High Street, Tain

27 High Street in Tain is an earlier 19th-century building that stands two storeys high and features a single bay. The exterior is made of tooled ashlar with finely tooled dressings. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the first floor has a tripartite window arrangement. A modern box dormer is present on the roof, which is covered with slate.

At the rear, there is a wing located at 3 King Street, which is also an earlier 19th-century structure. This two-storey and attic house is positioned at right angles to 27 High Street and has three bays, although the right bay is now blocked by the rear of 31 High Street. The wing features rendered, painted ashlar margins, bipartite windows on the ground and first floors, a modern box dormer, and a slate roof.
