Description
33, 35, and 37 High Street in Tain is an earlier 19th century building featuring two storeys and an attic, with three wide bays. The front is made of tooled ashlar with rubble on the flanks. The ground floor is symmetrical, consisting of three doors, each flanked by shop windows, although the outer doors have been converted to windows. There is a painted band course above the ground floor. The first floor has three tripartite windows, with a blind centre light in the middle window. Additional features include a lintel/eaves band, two-pane glazing, and three piended dormers that retain their original six-pane sashes. The building has corniced end stacks and a slate roof.
