Description
111, 113, and 115 High Street in Brechin is an early 19th-century building that features a symmetrical design with three stories and an attic. The structure is made of ashlar stone and has raised quoins at the corners and at the central bay facing High Street. The ground floor is rusticated and retains its original shop openings.
The building has a five-window front on High Street and three windows on City Road, with dummy windows on the left and center at the upper levels. A central doorpiece with Doric columns is located on the High Street side. The first-floor windows are framed with architraves and cornices, while the second-floor windows have only architraves.
There is a main cornice and a blocking course at the top, along with a pedimented central gable at the wallhead that features an arched attic light facing High Street. The roof is piended and slated, with an ashlar wallhead stack on the City Road side.
