Description
Birnock Lodge is a two-storey villa built around 1875, featuring a symmetrical front. The south elevation is made of coursed, squared rubble, while the sides are constructed with snecked stone, complemented by painted ashlar dressings and quoins. The villa has a three-bay gabled front, with a central door that has polished granite nook shafts and a stilted head, flanked by two projecting squared bays, each with corbelled first floors. A balcony on the first floor connects the outer bays. Both floors feature tripartite windows. The west elevation includes two wide, gabled bays, and the building has deeply bracketed eaves and corniced stacks, topped with a slate roof.
