Description

Circa 1875. Large, irregularly planned villa with Scottish

Baronial detailing. 2 storeys and attic. Snecked rubble with

polished ashlar dressings and quoins, painted at rear. East

elevation: 2 outer, advanced crowstepped gables with

corbelled turret at 1st floor on south east, 2-storey

circular tower at north east, with balustrade

above cornice, and crowstepped gablets to canted angle of end

bay behind; porch in re-entrant angle; 4-light canted window

in south bay. West elevation: 2 outer crowstepped gabled

bays; central door with side lights; blocked margins to

windows; lower, 2-storey projection, wallhead stacks stepped

into gables, slate roof.
