Description

Blairtum Park House is a prominent asymmetrical villa located at 34 Broomieknow Road in Rutherglen, Glasgow, and was built in 1878. This two to three-storey building features Scots baronial architectural details, including stugged and snecked ashlar stonework, polished dressings, and crow-stepped gables. The south-facing front has three bays, with a central square tower that includes bartizans, a gabled left bay, and a right bay that features a dormer head above the main eaves. The villa has chimney stacks and a slate roof, along with low ranges at the rear. The gatepiers are adorned with elaborately bracketed cornices and finials. There is also a modern addition at the rear of the property.
