Description
The bandstand in Overtoun Park, Mill Street, Rutherglen, Glasgow, features an inscription panel that reads, "Presented by Sir James Fleming Knight of Woodburn to the Corporation of the Royal Burgh of Rutherglen 1914." It has an octagonal shape and is supported by cast iron columns topped with 'Corinthianesque' capitals. The spandrels display a lyre detail, and it has a domed pavilion roof, although most of its covering is modern. The bandstand also includes a platform base.
