Description
The gateway at Overtoun Park on Mill Street in Glasgow was designed by David Salmond in 1907 and showcases a French Renaissance style. It features four tall square piers made of yellow ashlar stone at the street corner, with linking quadrants. The inner piers are taller and topped with pediments and ball finials at the base of their shaped caps. The gateway is complemented by plain wrought-iron railings, while the wrought-iron gatepiers, gates, and overthrow are more elaborate in design.
