Description
The gateway at the south-west entrance of Weston Park in Sheffield dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and ashlar, featuring ashlar dressings. The gateway has two square gate piers with plinths and corniced caps, which are flanked by concave curved walls that have chamfered copings; the wall on the right is stepped. In the center, there are wrought-iron piers and a pedestrian gate, which are flanked by pairs of larger gates, all adorned with crests and finials.
