Superintendants House, Overtoun Park, 53 Overtoun Drive, Rutherglen, Glasgow

The Superintendents House at Overtoun Park, located at 53 Overtoun Drive in Rutherglen, Glasgow, was designed by David Salmond in 1907. This single-storey house features a pyramidal red-tile roof with a prominent apex stack. Its architectural style is influenced by French Renaissance design, constructed from stugges yellow ashlar with polished dressings. The house has a central door on the west side, which is framed by a columned porch and an arched hood that breaks through the main eaves. There are single flanking lights beside the door, and the flanks of the building are adorned with mullioned windows. To the south, there is a canted bay, while the east wing includes an outshot to the north, topped with ball finials.
