Description
12 Dudhope Terrace is a symmetrical villa built around 1860, featuring two stories and three bays. The front is constructed of ashlar stone with quoined angles, while the sides and rear are made of rubble.
On the southeast elevation, there is a central entrance with a Roman Ionic columned doorpiece and a pediment above. The ground floor has canted bay windows on either side, topped with an openworked parapet. The first floor includes segmental-arched single and bipartite windows, each adorned with keystones and architraves. A cornice and blocking course complete the top of the building.
The roof is covered with slate and has a modern dormer. Gable wallhead stacks are present, and the windows are sash and case with a mix of two and four-pane glazing patterns.
The property is enclosed by a boundary wall, which is low ashlar at the front and high rubble-built at the rear. There is a screen wall to the west and a modern extension to the east.
