Description
11 Dudhope Terrace is a villa designed by James MacLaren around 1860. It is a two-storey building with an ashlar front and rubble-built sides and rear.
On the southeast elevation, there is a central three-light round-headed window with a balustrade, flanked by two single lights above, each with lugged architraves. The ground floor features canted bays with bipartite windows above, and the building has a cornice and blocking course. There are angle pilaster piers, and a porch set back to the left includes a round-arched doorpiece and a balustraded parapet.
The roof is piended and covered with slate, featuring shouldered wallhead gable stacks. The windows are sash and case with a two-pane glazing pattern.
There is a screen wall linking this villa to No 10, which has a curved parapet. The boundary walls are low at the ashlar front and high, rubble-built at the rear.
