Rockfield, 301 Perth Road, Dundee

Rockfield is a villa built around 1860, featuring a two-storey design with an ashlar front and rubble-built sides and rear. The south elevation has three bays, with a ground floor that includes a centrally placed, consoled, pedimented bipartite window situated between canted bays. On the first floor, there are shallow segmental-headed windows with corbelled sills, and the outer bays also have bipartite windows. The entrance is marked by a pilastered and corniced porch that has a round-arched door with a fanlight. The roof is a piended platform style with bracketted eaves, and there are two corniced ashlar stacks at each gable end. The villa features sash and case windows with a 2- and 4-pane glazing pattern. The property is enclosed by rubble-built boundary walls and has ashlar gatepiers.
