Description
This is a two-storey villa located at 299 Perth Road in Dundee, built around 1860. The front is made of ashlar stone, while the sides and rear are constructed from rubble.
The south elevation features three bays, with a central ground floor that has a pedimented bipartite window set between canted bays. The first floor has shallow segmental-headed windows with corbelled sills, and the outer bays also contain bipartite windows. A porch with pilasters and a cornice leads to a round-arched door that is illuminated by a fanlight. The eaves are bracketted, and the roof is piended with a platform design, featuring two corniced ashlar stacks on each gable. The windows are sash and case, with a mix of two-pane and four-pane glazing.
There is a later addition on Rockfield Street, which is a one-storey wing that has three bays and an ashlar front. The central bipartite window has been altered to serve as a door. This wing also has rubble-built sides, bracketted eaves, a piended slate roof, and ashlar stacks.
The property is enclosed by rubble-built boundary walls and features ashlar gatepiers.
