Doralee, 46 Aytoun Road, Glasgow

Doralee is a two-storey, three-bay villa built around 1880, featuring stone-cleaned ashlar with coursers, pilasters, and sculptured details. The villa has an L-shaped front with an inner porch that showcases Renaissance details and a round-arched doorway. On the right bay, there is a full-height canted window, while the left side has single windows, with the first-floor window having a balcony and paired narrow pilasters on either side. The windows are fitted with plate glass sashes, some of which include leaded upper panels. The villa has bracketed deep eaves, end stacks, and a slate roof that is set forward over the bays. The flank windows are adorned with inset pilasters. There are altered wings recessed on each side, with the right (south) side originally being a conservatory. A projecting ground floor bay is located alongside, with a modern forestair and a door above. The property is enclosed by a stepped boundary wall and features painted ashlar gatepiers.
