49, 49A Aytoun Road, Glasgow

49 and 49A Aytoun Road is a villa built in the later 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure with an L-shaped plan. The front features a two-storey canted window on the right, topped by a gable head with fretwork. The exterior is made of snecked ashlar with painted details, and the openings have shafted details. There is a pilastered porch with foliated capitals, and the openings are both flat and arched. The villa has end stacks and a slate roof.

In front of the villa, there is a low boundary wall that runs along the street, made of painted ashlar. The gatepiers are distinctive, featuring a common pattern found in the area, with deep inset necking.
