Braehead, 206 Nithsdale Road, Pollokshields, Glasgow

Braehead is a villa located at 206 Nithsdale Road in Pollokshields, Glasgow, built between 1880 and 1890. This two-storey, three-bay villa features an L-shaped front and includes a two-storey canted window on the left gable and a porch in the re-entrant angle. The exterior is finished in stone-cleaned polished ashlar with roll-moulded openings. The windows are square-headed and stilted at the first-floor level, with strings at the impost level and between floors. The eaves are blocked, and the glazing is made of plate glass. The villa has ornamented end stacks and a modern tiled roof. There is a low wing on the right that has been altered. The property is enclosed by a boundary wall to the street, which features painted ashlar shaped gatepiers.
