Glebe Cottage, St Joseph's R.C. College, Craigs Road, Dumfries

Glebe Cottage, located at St Joseph's R.C. College on Craigs Road in Dumfries, dates from around 1840 and is designed in a Gothic style. This single-storey building with an attic is constructed from stugged and squared rubble, featuring ashlar dressings and hoodmoulds. The gable facing the street is painted and includes Tudor-arched windows above and on either side of a central square-headed door. The cottage has sash windows that were originally fitted with lying-panes. The northeast flank features a mullioned and transomed window, along with a modern door and window. The building has projecting eaves and an axial stack, with flues that have been cut down. It has a slate roof and a lean-to structure at the rear on the southeast side. Additionally, there is a rusticated doorway in the adjoining boundary wall.
