Description

William Hogg, 1887. 4-storey, 4-bay Scottish 17th century style tenement, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; string course above 1st floor; corbel table at 3rd floor; chamfered reveals.

W ENTRANCE elevation: 3 roll-moulded doorways at ground, divided by single windows; deep-set panelled doors; plate glass fanlights. Bipartite windows to inner bays above; 3rd floor windows breaking eaves in pedimented and stone finialled dormerheads. Full-height canted windows in bays to outer left and right; facetted pyramidal roofs and cast-iron finials. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; corniced mutual stacks; moulded cans; crowstepped mutual gables. INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
