Description

William Hogg, 1887. 4-storey, 4-bay Scottish 17th century style tenement, forming terminal block to terrace. Squared and snecked with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; string course above 1st floor; corbel table at 3rd floor; crowstepped gables with inset paterae to outer bays; semi-circular dormerheads with stone finials to inner bays; chamfered reveals.

W ENTRANCE elevation: roll-moulded doorway at centre with hoodmoulding over datestone; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; bracketted chimney breast above. Single windows in flanking bays. Full-height canted windows corbelled to square at gablehead in bays to outer left and right. S ELEVATION: M-gabled. Central single windows at 1st floor and above; square blank tablets set between 2nd and 3rd floors and in gableheads. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; corniced gablehead stack to SW; rendered and coped gablehead stack to SE; coped mutual stack; beak skewputts.

INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
