Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 2-bay terraced town house with later shopfront in former garden area, accessed through pend with rear entrance doorway. Painted stugged ashlar front, coursed rubble to rear. Windows set in slightly recessed panels.

SE (FRONT) ELEVATION: projecting flat-roofed modern shopfront at ground floor; pedimented tripartite windows to 1st floor with later slender cast-iron columnar mullions; tripartite windows at 2nd floor with ashlar mullions. 2 rectangular bipartite dormers with glazed returns and piended roofs.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: plain doorway at foot of central semi-circular stairwell breaking eaves with half-conical roof; single windows.

Multi-pane timber sash and case windows except ground floor windows of front elevation plate glass glazing, left window at 1st floor lying panes. Black slate roof with lead flashings; broad mutual stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
