Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay terraced town house with basement. Cream sandstone, droved ashlar front with polished dressings, coursed and squared rubble to basement, coursed rubble to rear and side. Base course; band course above basement; dentilled eaves cornice with blocking course.

SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: doorway to right bay with oversailing steps, pilastered doorpiece with panelled door and rectangular plate glass fanlight; ground floor windows architraved and corniced; single windows above and to remaining bays; rectangular bipartite slate-hung dormer.

SE ELEVATIONS: blank gable with apex stack abutted at ground floor by neighbouring building.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: full-height bowed bay to left; single windows.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Black slate roof with lead flashings; apex stack (see above), coped mutual stack.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: low boundary wall to front with flat coping, remains of original railings, railings to steps.
