Description

Pre 1804. 4-storey, 4-bay town house with basement, part of a near terrace of 5. Cream sandstone, dressed ashlar with polished dressings, rubble to rear with droved dressings. Band course above basement; architraved windows, corniced at ground floor; dentilled eaves cornice.

SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: pilastered and corniced doorway in bay to right of centre, rectangular plate glass fanlight, 2-leaf panelled door. Single windows to remaining bays and floors. 2 rectangular tripartite piended dormer.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: tripartite windows to centre bays of ground and 1st floor; single windows to remaining bays.

Timber sash and case windows, mostly 12-pane, some 4-pane glazing to rear. Grey slate roof; broad coped mutual stacks and skews.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: low rubble boundary wall, some original iron railings.
