Description
306 Leith Walk is an early 19th-century, three-storey, four-bay tenement. It features a cream sandstone façade with stugged ashlar at the front and coursed rubble at the rear.
The front elevation has a consoled cornice above the doorway located in the bay to the left of centre, with single windows in the remaining bays. There are two large rectangular dormers with piended roofs and replacement windows.
The rear elevation includes a full-height bowed bay with tripartite windows on each floor to the right, while the left side has single windows. There is a central wallhead stack and two piended dormers.
The building has timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing, including 12-pane windows at the rear. The roof is covered in black slate with lead flashings, featuring a wallhead stack, a broad mutual ashlar stack to the left, and a rendered replacement stack to the right.
The interior was not seen in 1993. The front boundary is marked by a low rubble wall with saddleback coping and later railings.
