15 Blacket Avenue, Edinburgh

15 Blacket Avenue is a two-storey, three-bay classical house built in 1832. It features a symmetrical design and is constructed from cream sandstone polished ashlar, with rubble on the sides and rear. The building has a base course, architraved windows, a dividing band course, a cill course for the first-floor windows, a cornice, and a blocking course raised at the terminal dies.

On the south elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a central doorway with a panelled door and a two-pane fanlight. This doorway is framed by Ionic columns and a pediment. Above the entrance, there is a single window on the first floor, with single windows in the flanking bays on both floors. The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case. The roof is a grey slate piended design.

The interior was not seen in 1996. The property is also accompanied by high coped rubble boundary walls along the street and a central corniced pedestrian gateway.
