Description

9, 10, 11 Warrender Park Crescent is a four-storey and basement tenement building constructed around 1880, featuring Baronial details and forming part of a curved terrace. The structure is made of coursed orange sandstone with grey polished ashlar dressings. It has a base course and string courses above the ground and second floors, with roll-moulded round-arched doorways, panelled doors, plate glass fanlights, and chamfered reveals.

The north entrance elevation has a consoled cornice with a strapwork pediment above the advanced doorway located in the third bay. To the left of this doorway is an advanced single window, and above it, there is an advanced panel with bipartite windows on each floor. There is another doorway in the second bay, with single windows above, advanced at the second and third floors, and a corbel supporting the second-floor window. The second and third bays are linked by a crowstepped gable. The fourth bay contains a doorway flanked on the left by a single window, with bipartite windows above. There is a corbelled stone balcony (with missing balustrades) at the second-floor window and a pedimented dormer head above the third-floor window. The outer bays feature full-height canted windows, pyramidal roofs, and wrought-iron finials. The windows are plate glass sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes a corniced gablehead stack, corniced mutual stacks, moulded octagonal cans, and scroll-bracketted skewputts.

The interiors were not seen in 1991. The property also has cast-iron boundary railings along the street and steps.
