Description

129, 131, and 133 Warrender Park Road is a six-bay tenement building, possibly designed by Thomas Gibson around 1880, featuring Baronial details and forming part of a terrace. The building is constructed from coursed grey sandstone with polished ashlar dressings and has been stone-cleaned. It includes a base course, cornices above the ground floor openings (except for the central doorway), a string course at the third floor, and an eaves cornice. The reveals at the ground and first floors are chamfered, while those at the second and third floors are stop-chamfered. The doors are deep-set and panelled, with plate glass fanlights above.

On the south entrance elevation, there are doorways located in the second and fifth bays, as well as between the third and fourth bays. The first floor features blinded balustraded aprons above single windows on the second and third floors. The dormerheads are pedimented and linked to wallhead stacks. The doorway between the third and fourth bays has a corbelled and crenellated panel situated between the first and second floors above. Full-height canted windows are present in the third and sixth bays, which also have swept and facetted pyramidal roofs topped with decorative iron finials. The first and fifth bays contain bipartite windows in advanced and gabled panels, with blank heraldic shields set in the gableheads and a stone finial retained on the first bay. The windows are plate glass sash and case, and the roof is finished with grey slate, featuring a corniced wallhead and mutual stacks, along with gabletted skewputts.

The interiors were not seen in 1991. The building has a low saddleback roof facing the street.
