Description

Circa 1880. 4-storey with basement, 7-bay tenement, forming part of terrace. Coursed lightly stugged grey ashlar with polished dressings. Base course; string course at 3rd floor; architraved round-arched doorways with recessed polished granite columns; panelled 2-leaf doors; plate glass fanlights; chamfered reveals.

N ENTRANCE elevation: steps up to doorways in 2nd, 4th and 6th bays; single windows above those in 2nd and 6th bays, with pedimented dormerheads to 3rd floor windows; paterae set above doorway in 4th bay. Full-height canted windows with pyramidal roofs in 1st and 5th bays. Bipartite windows toeach floor in 3rd and 7th bays; pedimented dormerheads with inset paterae and round-arched panels to 3rd floor windows. Plate glass sash and case windows. grey slate roof; corniced wallhead stack; corniced mutual stacks; moulded octagonal cans; gabletted skewputts. INTERIORS: not seen 1991

RAILINGS: cast-iron boundary railings to street and steps.
