Description

David Bryce, 1869-70. 2 3-storey terraced villas, each comprising 2 bays; now hotels. Coursed grey ashlar with polished dressings. Base course; dividing cornice above ground floor; eaves cornice; raised and lugged window surrounds; 2nd floor windows breaking eaves in steeply pedimented and stone finialled dormerheads.

W ENTRANCE elevation: architraved doorways in 2nd and 4th bays; consoles tocornices, forming balconies to 1st floor windows; iron brattishing (incomplete); panelled doors (2-leaf at No 4); plate glass fanlights; single window at 2nd floor. 2-storey canted windows in 1st and 3rd bays withhoodmouldings to 1st floor windows and crenellated parapets; 2 single windows above at 2nd floor. Plate glass sash and case windows. grey slate roof; corniced mutual stacks; some original rainwater goods including decorative iron brackets to downpipes.
