Description

Circa 1864. 2-storey 2-bay L-plan domestic gothic house with gabled porch and projecting gabled bay. Squared and snecked tooled sandstone with ashlar dressings; stugged quoins; rubble to sides and rear. Chamfered reveals and mullions to window openings. Gabletted skews and bracketed skewputts.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: projecting gabled porch in left bay; boarded timber door in Tudor-arched, stop chamfered surround; arrowslit blind opening in gable; bipartite window in gablehead breaking eaves at 1st floor, with arrowslit blind opening in gable above. 2-storey projecting window in advanced bay to right with stone-mullioned quadripartite windows at ground and 1st floor, stone-slabbed roof and decorative brattishing. Flat-roofed and lean-to garage blocks added to outer left and right respectively.

Plate glass in timber sash and case windows. Grade grey slates. Gabled stone coped stacks with circular cans.

BOUNDARY WALL: stone coped low wall to front.
