Description

Circa 1820. Plain classical 2-storey 3-bay piend-roofed house. Sandstone ashlar, random rubble to sides. Dividing course between ground and 2nd floor; eaves cornice.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: regular fenestration at 1st floor. Later bowed glazed iron porch added below stone cornice of doorpiece; timber panelled door with decorative fanlight above. Later canted bay (painted) to right at ground floor with stop-chamfered surrounds to windows and panelled blocking course above. Decorative wrought-iron balcony at 1st floor.

4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slates. Stone-coped wallhead stacks with circular cans.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: stone-coped rubble wall to front; panelled gatepiers (painted) with corniced caps.
