Description

Circa 1825. 3-bay single storey cottage with later porch and piend-roofed slate-hung dormers to attic. Coursed sandstone with droved ashlar dressings to front, random rubble to sides and rear. Eaves cornice and blocking course, advanced to centre.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: entrance in slightly advanced centre bay, obscured by later glazed lean-to porch. Regular fenestration.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: attic windows in slate-hung dormers breaking eaves.

12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slates. Stone skews; corniced ashlar stacks with circular cans.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: saddle-backed ashlar coped low rubble wall to front; tall corniced gatepiers topped by stone eagles with out-stretched wings.
