Description
Bakery House, located at 4 The Square in Glamis, is an 18th-century, two-storey building that consists of a five-bay pair of houses, forming the northeastern end of a terrace. The exterior is colour-washed with painted margins.
On the southeast, or principal elevation, there is a part-glazed timber door situated to the right of the centre, accompanied by a small blinded opening to the left. To the immediate right of this door is a slightly taller door, followed by a shop window at the outer right. To the left, there are two small windows positioned at different levels. The first floor features three windows to the right of the centre and an additional window at the outer left.
The northeast elevation, facing Kirk Wynd, has a window at the outer right on the ground floor, along with a single-storey building that adjoins it and is listed separately.
The windows are timber sash and case, featuring 12-pane and plate glass glazing patterns, while the shop window is fixed. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are brick stacks with cans.
